COMING SOON: The Betrayed | Nollywood Reinvented

Zulumoke Oyibo makes her directorial movie debut with The Betrayed. She has previously served as a producer on various projects like ‘Up North,’ ‘Quam’s Money’ and ‘Palava‘. The movie is written by Naz Onuzo and Tosin Anyafulu.

Uche Montana, Gabriel Afolayan and Ibrahim Suleiman star in The Betrayed. The lineup also includes Adunni Ade, Jemima Osunde, Vine Olugu, Stephanie Zibili and Aderonke Onuoha.

Watching from the trailer, The Betrayed is about a loving husband and father, played by Gabriel Afolayan, who seems to embody the perfect family man. His wife, played by Uche Montana, and their two children enjoy a life of happiness.

The character played by Gabriel Afolayan meets a university student. They enjoy a night of passion, but he wakes up to a nightmare— the university student is dead beside him. The police are called, and he is arrested for the university student’s murder. The once-perfect family is thrust into a tumultuous battle to uncover the truth behind the university student’s death.

Inkblot has revealed that The Betrayed will be available exclusively in cinemas on August 2, 2024.
