Dessers scores In Rangers’ home defeat
Cyriel Dessers found the net in Rangers’ 2-1 loss to Motherwell at Ibrox on Saturday.

Luke Armstrong opened the scoring for Motherwell in the ninth minute, capitalizing on a mistake by Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland.

Lapses in defense allowed Tom Sparrow to double Motherwell’s lead on the half-hour mark.

Dessers pulled one back early in the second half with a well-taken finish after Ridvan Yilmaz’s swift ball over the top.

The forward came close to a second goal moments later, but his effort was ruled out for offside.

The 30-year-old has now netted 11 goals in 26 league appearances for the Gers this season.

Rangers pressed for an equalizer but fell short, marking their third consecutive home defeat— a first since 2012.

Centre-back Leon Balogun made his comeback from injury, replacing Robin Propper at halftime.

Motherwell also featured their Nigerian forward, Moses Ebiye, who came on for Armstrong in the 62nd minute.
