BrainBurst reports that DR Congo head coach Sebastien Desabre has announced a star-studded 26-man squad to face Tanzania in their next two crucial matches in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.

Desabre has called upon his regulars, including the likes of Chancel Mbemba, Arthur Masuaku, Theo Bongonda, and Gael Kakuta. But it’s the inclusion of Ipswich Town defender Axel Tuanzebe and Meschiak Elia that has sparked excitement among Leopards fans.

Without leading forward Yoane Wissa, DR Congo will rely on their other talents to take on Tanzania’s Taifa Stars in a double-header. The first match takes place on October 10th at home in Kinshasa, before heading to Dar es Salaam on October 15th.

As things stand, DR Congo are top of Group H with six points, thanks to their 1-0 win against Guinea and 2-0 win over Ethiopia. Tanzania, meanwhile, are second with four points, following a goalless draw against Ethiopia and a 2-1 win over Guinea.

Take a look at the full invited squad list below:
