Popular gospel singer, Ebuka Songs, has finally spoken out about the reasons behind his unexpected departure from Moses Bliss’ record label, Spotlite Nation. This marks the first time he has publicly addressed the matter since leaving the label.

Ebuka Songs initially signed a three-year contract with Spotlite Nation, but his time with the label was cut short as he exited after just 11 months. His departure sparked various speculations among fans and industry insiders, leading to curiosity about what truly happened behind the scenes.
In December 2024, Moses Bliss, the founder of Spotlite Nation, addressed the situation, explaining that Ebuka Songs had made a personal decision to pursue his music career independently. However, Ebuka had not shared his own perspective on the matter—until now.
During a recent interview on the Open Up podcast, Ebuka Songs finally broke his silence, revealing that his decision to leave the record label was primarily influenced by his strong desire to focus entirely on his ministry and spiritual calling.

Speaking on his experience with Moses Bliss and the Spotlite Nation label, Ebuka Songs expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity he had during his time there. He acknowledged that the label played a crucial role in shaping his early career, particularly in helping him navigate the professional aspects of the gospel music industry.
“I will always be grateful for Moses Bliss’ role in my life because, at that time, I had the anointing and gift, but I didn’t know how to go about it professionally,” Ebuka shared during the interview.
Reflecting on his next steps, Ebuka explained that his primary focus now is to fully dedicate himself to his ministry and calling. He emphasized that his decision to leave the label was not due to any conflict but rather a personal conviction to embark on a new chapter.
“I am grateful for the journey that I have been through, but at this point, the next level is to focus on my ministry. And we are in a good space,” he added, making it clear that his departure was amicable and driven by spiritual purpose rather than industry disagreements.
Ebuka Songs also took a moment to address why he chose to remain silent about his exit for so long. He revealed that he deliberately avoided speaking on the issue to prevent unnecessary speculation and controversy surrounding his decision.
“The reason why I kept quiet about my exit or didn’t say anything since that time is because I didn’t want it to generate more conversations. We all get to the point where we just want to focus on the next phase of our lives, and for me, that is the assignment of God upon my life,” he explained.
Despite his departure from Spotlite Nation, Ebuka Songs reassured his fans and supporters that there is no bad blood between him and his former team. He made it clear that he remains on good terms with Moses Bliss and the label, and that he is in a positive place as he moves forward with his ministry.
As Ebuka embarks on this new phase of his musical and spiritual journey, he continues to inspire fans with his unwavering dedication to his calling. His decision to focus entirely on his ministry marks a significant turning point in his career, one that he believes aligns with God’s purpose for his life.
