EPL: Salah shines as Liverpool spank City, move 11 points clear
Liverpool delivered a commanding performance to assert their title ambitions with a convincing 2-0 victory over a lackluster Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Extending their lead at the top of the Premier League to 11 points, Liverpool secured a routine win against Pep Guardiola’s side, who started brightly with early threats from Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku.

City thought they had taken the lead when Omar Marmoush found the net, but his goal was ruled out for offside. Moments later, Liverpool capitalized as Mohamed Salah broke the deadlock, finishing clinically after a well-executed corner routine.

City pushed for an equalizer, but Ibrahima Konaté produced crucial blocks to maintain Liverpool’s advantage. Just before halftime, Liverpool doubled their lead as Trent Alexander-Arnold lofted a precise pass to Salah, who surged down the right flank before setting up Dominik Szoboszlai for a composed low finish.

Despite City’s attempts to fight back, Liverpool’s solid defense ensured a vital victory, further strengthening their grip at the top of the table.
