Four-time NBA MVP and all-time leading scorer LeBron James is in an ecstatic mood following Sunday’s history-making feat, BrainBurst reports.

The 39-year-old suited up alongside his son Bronny as they became the first father and son duo to play in any NBA game together when they played for the Lakers in a preseason defeat to the Phoenix Suns.

LeBron and Bronny, who turned 20 on Sunday, played during the first half of the game, as they were on the floor together for just over four minutes in the second quarter of their 118-114 defeat to the Suns at the Acrisure Stadium in Pennsylvania.

“For a father, it means everything,” LeBron stated on playing with his son. “For someone who didn’t have that growing up, to be able to have that influence on your kids and have that influence on your son, be able to have moments with your son — and the ultimate, to be able to work with your son — that’s one of the greatest things that a father could ever hope for or wish for.

“It’s proper for a game, like it’s, you know, regular. But the moment, we came out of a timeout and we kind of stood next to each other.

“I kind of looked at him. It was like being in ‘The Matrix’ or something. It just didn’t feel real. But it was great to have those moments.”

LeBron finished with a game-high 19 points, adding four assists and five rebounds in 16 minutes. Bronny, however, was scoreless in his 13-minute appearance in the game as he grabbed only two rebounds.
