The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has approved a massive N17.6 billion budget for 2025 following its Annual General Assembly in Asaba, Delta State. This budget, aimed at strengthening Nigerian football across all levels, was approved on Thursday with the Congress endorsing the Federation’s financial plans.
In addition to the 2025 budget, the Nigerian football body also ratified its financial statements for the year ending 2023 with its commitment to transparency.
NFF officials have expressed optimism that the funds will help achieve critical milestones, including securing the Super Eagles’ qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Super Eagles were commended for their silver-medal finish at the 2023 AFCON, and the Super Falcons for their participation in the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament after a 16-year absence.
