It was Rangers’ first win in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this season.

Former champions Enyimba defeated Lobi Stars 2-1 in a keenly contested encounter in Aba.
Ufere Chinedu opened scoring for Enyimba in the 13th minute, while Ekwutoziam Eze doubled the advantage from the spot three minutes later.
Adebayo Waheeb reduced the deficit for Lobi Stars eight minutes before the break.
