Senegal Beat Sierra Leone to Win 2025 Under-20 WAFU A Qualifying Championship

Senegal have emerged champions of the 2025 under-20 WAFU A qualifying Championship after a 2-0 victory over Sierra Leone at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Complex in Liberia.

With this victory, the Young Teranga Lions earned themselves a spot in the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) along with clinching the regional title.

Serigne Saliou Dia’s led team took the lead in the 13th minute courtesy of a sublime finish from Cheikh Tidiane Thiam. Ten minutes later, Ibrahima Dieng doubled the Young Lions’ lead with an outrageous long-range effort.
