English Premier League team Crystal Palace is reportedly interested in signing Nigerian international and Fenerbahce defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel. According to a report by Soccernet.ng, the Premier League side is tempting the 26-year-old to secure his services. Osayi-Samuel joined Fenerbahce from Queens Park Rangers in 2021 and has already established himself as a key player for the Turkish side.
Previously, Osayi-Samuel was reportedly linked with moves to other English clubs such as Leeds, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and most recently, Crystal Palace. According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, Fenerbahce is attempting to persuade Osayi-Samuel to extend his deal with the club, which is set to end next summer. If he signs with another club, he will gain the ability to enter into pre-contract agreements once the transfer window opens next year, given his current contract expires in the summer.
Ongoing negotiations between Fenerbahce and Osayi-Samuel have reportedly sparked interest from English Premier League clubs. Crystal Palace in particular are keen on the Nigerian international and appear to be leading the race to sign him. By waiting until the next year, they could sign him for free when his contract expires, making them a likely candidate in his decision-making. However, it remains to be seen which club Osayi-Samuel will ultimately choose.
Despite his potential transfer, Osayi-Samuel recently suffered a foot injury but is expected to return to the field during the early weeks of November. Keep an eye on BrainBurst for further updates on this transfer development.
