The Biggest Unanswered Questions From Terrifier 3

It’s Halloween season once again, and that means a return of Art the Clown (Damien Leone). Art has in the past been involved in two “Terrifier” films, whose main setting involves the 31st of October; now, however, he spends most of his Halloween hijinks around Christmas too. “Terrifier 3″ features high levels of violence, so extreme that it will test  viewers’ limits. Some gruesome scenes test a viewer’s threshold while depicting innocent individuals transformed into piles of meat. There seems to be an audience who have an appetite for more violence which keeps Art the Clown moving and killing another day.

The first of the “Terrifier” movie franchise showed it as though Art was simply some clown who was going after people for fun. It became “Terrifier 2” that raised a deceased Art from the tomb, with the demonic being brought to life by Little Pale Girl. “Terrifier 3” sees Art yet resuscitated to execute a demonic plot while under the command of a supernatural entity. This demon occupied Art’s surviving victim — Victoria Heyes in “Terrifier 2” and is now defeated towards the end of “Terrifer 3”. The movie leaves one key question hanging: what next in Art’s story? Will this diabolical clown collaborate with a demon again? The possibilities seem limitless so long as there’s a hunger for Art’s brand of horror.

Death, it seems, is something which can be brushed off for “Terrifier 3,” with the main cast seemingly escaping in whole while other previous victims are in tatters. Death is something which can be simply conjured in Art or the other characters as writer Damien Leone prepares his next installments. One major character — a minor one at that – seems to have died. Off-screen, Jonathan Shaw—the brother of Sienna who survived the previous scene —is revealed in “Terrifier 3’s” climax in the form of a decapitated skull wearing Sienna’s brother’s pair of glasses. The identity, of course, isn’t certain. Jonathan’s possible appearance could have been a setup made to pull off the plot. Could he be dead or this perhaps just a trick? Leaving this question dangling could spark many conspiracy theories among some fans.

The finale involves Sienna being able to open a gate to Hell through a portal with all its demons. It is possible the “Terrifier” character Sienna could potentially enter Hell when “Terrifier 4” comes around to reclaim her cousin, as per the franchise’s predilection for cruel, dark storylines. The film presents many unanswered queries about Sienna’s probable exploits in Hell; including how she plans on saving her cousin. “Terrifier 3” sets this scene but leaves the followup for a future installment — “Terrifier 4,” which will be another intense episode of terror — and possibly redemption when Sienna embarks on her mission from Hell.

These dangling plotlines could signal a possible sequel with deeper storylines about violence, death, and resurrection. Fans of this particular brand of horror may hope for more in terms of gore. Even with the potential demons and plotline twists, the unassuming clown seems always ready to scare you—one more time! Are you ready for the new episodes of “Terrifier 3″?
