SGF Lists Tinubu’s Achievements Ahead Of Independence Celebration
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, recently highlighted the numerous achievements of the current administration that have positively impacted the daily lives of citizens. One notable achievement is the introduction of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas initiative, which has alleviated transportation difficulties for the populace.
According to Akume, the administration has also commenced the distribution of CNG conversion kits at no cost to Nigerians, benefiting from the reduced cost of transportation.
In addition to these measures, the President has re-focused on strengthening the economy by empowering Nigerians to start or grow their businesses. The administration has repositioned the National Social Investment Programme to effectively address the challenges facing the poor, the vulnerable, and the elderly. Furthermore, Nigerian workers have benefited from a newly approved National Minimum Wage.
The Secretary also disclosed that a total of 22,120 students have benefited from N 2.5 billion disbursed by the Nigerian Students Loan Fund. Moreover, efforts have been stepped up to prevent a recurrence of flood disasters, drawing lessons from the recent challenges.
