Lamine Yamal, 17-year-old forward for Barcelona, has been recognized as the La Liga Player of the Month for September. This marks an outstanding achievement for the young talented player.

The talented U23 star, who has been enjoying an incredible start to his career, surpassed several esteemed opponents to secure the monthly award. Some of those who vied for the title included Kylian Mbappé, Iñaki Williams, Giovani Lo Celso, and Carlos Vicente.
What stands out most in his September performance was a sparkling display in their match against Girona, netting two goals in the 4-1 triumph. He added to that by providing an assist in their 5-1 victory over Valencia.
A rare blank day for him came in the 1-0 win against Getafe, but Yamal bounced back in force with a crucial goal against Osasuna, whom they surprisingly beat 4-2 in their last league fixture in the month.
Yamal, a product of Barca’s renowned La Masia Academy, has featured prominently for the Catalan giants in the ongoing season. Eight league appearances later, and he has chalked up an impressive score sheet: four goals, and added five assists, from just seven starts.
