Iyabo Ojo responds to Naira Marley over leaked chats confirming their relationship

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has strongly responded to Naira Marley after the singer attempted to discredit her by sharing leaked screenshots of their past conversations. The controversy began when images of Iyabo Ojo’s private chats with Naira Marley surfaced on social media, sparking a public discussion about the nature of their relationship. The leaked screenshots appeared to contradict Iyabo Ojo’s previous claims that she had no close personal ties with the singer, causing a stir among fans and followers online.

In response to the controversy and the attempts to tarnish her reputation, Iyabo Ojo took to social media to release additional screenshots of their past exchanges. She clarified that their interactions were strictly professional and had always been focused on supporting music artists and promoting their work. Iyabo stated that the conversations with Naira Marley were centered around helping rising talents in the music industry, especially those who sought her support for promotions.

Iyabo Ojo further explained that she had first reached out to Naira Marley after he contacted her through her son, Festus Ojo. She revealed that she had previously promoted his songs and even invited him to important events in her life, such as her movie premiere and the burial ceremony for her mother. According to her, her support for Naira Marley was part of her ongoing efforts to assist and uplift emerging talents in the entertainment industry. She mentioned that she had also helped many other young musicians by promoting their songs, providing venues for their shows, and introducing them to key figures in the music business, such as Naira Marley.

However, despite the previous professional relationship between the two, Iyabo Ojo emphasized that her recent criticisms of Naira Marley had nothing to do with their past interactions. She explained that her discontent stemmed from his failure to take action amid the ongoing allegations that his associate, Sam Larry, had been involved in the bullying of the late singer Mohbad. Iyabo made it clear that while she never accused Naira Marley of being directly responsible for Mohbad’s tragic death, the evidence surrounding the incident raised serious concerns. Iyabo also reiterated that she was deeply troubled by Naira Marley’s lack of intervention during Mohbad’s bullying, which she described as an act of injustice.

Iyabo Ojo further revealed that she had been made aware of additional disturbing claims about Naira Marley, some of which, she stated, would be addressed in court if necessary. She asserted that she would not stand by in silence when it came to matters of justice, especially in cases involving people she may have been close to in the past. In her message, she conveyed that she has communicated with various celebrities through direct messages (DMs) and would continue to speak out against any form of injustice, regardless of any personal connections.
