Ndah poised for comeback after extended injury layoff

Nigeria defender Olisa Ndah is nearing a return to action for South African club Orlando Pirates after a prolonged injury layoff. 

The centre-back has been out of action since suffering a serious injury in September 2024.

The centre-back has been training with the team in recent weeks, fueling speculation that he will soon reclaim his spot in the starting lineup.

“He (Ndah) has done well in the past few weeks and will be ready when selected to play,” the SouthAfrican quoted the club’s spokesperson.

“He is in line to return in the coming matches, possibly this week.” 

The 27-year-old’s return will be a significant boost for Buccaneers coach Jose Rivero as the team prepares for a packed schedule. 

Ndah had featured in two matches for Pirates before sustaining the injury.
