Simon scores as Nantes Beat Lens 3-1
Super Eagles winger Moses Simon found the net as Nantes secured a 3-1 victory over RC Lens at the Stade de la Beaujoire on Sunday.

After suffering a humbling 7-1 defeat to Monaco last weekend, Nantes responded emphatically with a convincing home win.

Louis Leroux opened the scoring for the hosts nine minutes before halftime.

Moses Simon doubled Nantes’ lead from the penalty spot on the hour mark, taking his season tally to six goals and seven assists in 21 league appearances under Antoine Kombouaré.

Lens responded five minutes later, with Neil El Aynaoui converting from the spot to reduce the deficit.

However, Congo international Meschack Elia sealed the victory for Nantes deep into stoppage time, ensuring a commanding 3-1 win.
