Nigeria and Benin Republic are set to clash for a spot at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Benin Republic advanced to the final qualifying round after defeating Sierra Leone 5-2 on aggregate in the first round.

The Amazons secured a 2-1 victory in the first leg at their temporary home ground, Stade Kegue in Lome, before sealing their progress with a 3-1 win in the return fixture.

The decisive qualifying ties will take place between October 20 and 28, 2025.

Benin Republic will host the first leg, while Nigeria will welcome their opponents for the return leg.

The winner on aggregate will book a ticket to WAFCON 2025.

The Super Falcons remain the most successful team in the tournament’s history, having won the title a record nine times.
