Lookman’s first goal was a display of pure composure as he effortlessly dribbled past the Empoli goalkeeper before slotting the ball into an empty net.
He capped off his brace with a thunderous left-footed strike after a brilliant solo run, helping Atalanta put their midweek disappointment behind them in emphatic fashion.
The match kicked off with an own goal from Empoli’s Gyasi, setting the stage for Atalanta’s dominant display.
Matteo Retegui then extended the lead with his 21st goal of the season before setting up Lookman for a well-taken third just before halftime.
Lookman scored again early in the second half, and Davide Zappacosta capped off the scoring with the fifth goal to wrap things up.
